Surprise!

I ran a half marathon today!

Half Marathon #7

I didn't announce it on my blog because I had a specific goal, run a sub-2 hour race, and didn't want to be even more disappointed when I didn't accomplish it.

Spoiler Alert

I didn't accomplish it, not even close.  I still had fun, most of the time, and in retrospect I wasn't doing that bad.

This girl just ran a 3:21 marathon, and she agreed to run with me

I will write a full recap tomorrow but I just have to say that I am so thankful for this girl!  She ran the entire race with me and encouraged me to finish.  She could have slapped me, left me for dead (again, it wasn't that bad), or stopped talking to me but she didn't.

For that I am thankful!

  5. Way to go! Anyone who runs is amazing in my book. I struggle with breathing when I run. Hopefully one day I'll be able to accomplish a 5k but I have walked a half marathon so that was pretty impressive to me lol

  7. Either way, you still got to do it. I think you'll def get your half down below 2 hours. The weather and it sounds like that race course was not built for PR's. Look forward to hearing when you do! :)

I saw you were doing the Flower City half. I've done it the last 2 years but decided this year I'm going to do the Nike Woman's half instead.
