Happy Holidays

Happy Holidays everyone!  Mike and I are heading out after work tonight to spend time with our families for the holidays.

Most of you have already seen this, but it's our version of a Christmas card!

I'll try to post at least once while we are away, especially if we have any adventures like the last time we were in Maine for Christmas in 2010.

At Portsmouth Lighthouse in New Hampshire, I was cold!

At Nubble Light, Mike's turn to be cold

You can't have a Maine Christmas without one of these!

We trudged through some snow, for a good reason!

If you know us at all, I'm sure you aren't surprised that our adventures include lighthouses.  I think we'll try to see some new ones either on the way to my parents or on the way back home, or both!

This year I'm hoping to get in some runs while we are in Maine and at Mike's parents' house.  I have 17 miles left to go to hit 1,000 running miles for the year! I think I am going to try to run on Sunday, Monday and Thursday.  I should hit 1,000 sometime during one of those runs, and then our 5K on December 29th will just be some extra miles.  We'll see!

I hope you all have a wonderful holiday season!

Are you traveling for the holidays? If so, where are you going?

  14. So if you run 14 miles with me on Sunday, you'll only have 3 more miles to get done! Seriously, my fave rail trail is only 5 miles off of the VERY highway you'll be driving by to get to your parents house!!!! Exit 49 baby! But of course, if you wanted to do less, I'd be MORE than happy to run ANY mileage with you!

  18. Hey, you were in my neighborhood! If you want to stop and run while going through Portsmouth, let me know! ;) Enjoy your visit although I don't think you'll see any snow this time.

Our plans? Taking it easy at home and just relaxing!
