Girlnetic Jumpstart to Fitness! Giveaway

Hello from New York's Capital District!

Mike and I left Maine yesterday and headed back to his parents' house to celebrate the holiday with them for a few days.  We missed snow the entire time we were in Maine but it snowed last night and it is still snowing today.  We still went out for a 3.25 mile run, though!

Mike's new arm warmers and Yaktrax, helpful during a snowy run!

Bernie got out in the snow too!

Speaking of the Capital District, have you heard about Girlnetic?

I hadn't until I was contacted by the company inviting me to what looks like it will be an amazing event: Girlnetic Jumpstart to Fitness!  Unfortunately, I am going to be unable to attend but I still wanted to share the details with all of you!

About Girlnetic

Girlnetic began as a simple idea by a group of average athletes and fitness enthusiasts to enable women to achieve fitness beyond the walls of the gym, and continues to evolve as an alternative option for women who want to embrace a healthy and active lifestyle in a fun and social manner. Girlnetic revolves around the mantra of “fitness, friendship, fun!”, a belief that fitness is more bearable therefore achievable when done as a social activity with friends in an unintimidating, non-judgmental, carefree environment. In simpler terms, Girlnetic is about having fun with friends through fitness!

  1. My goal for 2013 is to PR for the Half Marathon. It'll be almost 3 years since my last half, time to come back!

  4. Albany NY, eh? I live a 2 hr drive away :( I'd totally go but it's doubtful my hubby will agree to watch the kids and take them to their various sporting events by themselves that day.

  5. Wow! Snow would be the 'line in the sand' for me... It would be on the treadmill or not at all! I am super clumsy and I would break a leg for sure :) Luckily we don't get a lot of snow around here, I'm not sure I would even know where to go the find somewhere that sold Yaktrax. It would make for a beautiful run though!

    1. It's not too bad, but it definitely makes for a tougher workout! I HATE the treadmill so for me it's outside or indoor track :)
