A Happy Moment

Mike's dad put the photos from the marathon on Facebook today and I just wanted to share a happy moment with all of you.

At the start, yea I'm short

These two people are amazing and I am so thankful that they are a part of our life!  If it weren't for Mark catching up to me at 23 miles I probably would have finished more than one minute over 5 hours.

This is how I want to remember the marathon, the happy moments.  I am still struggling to accept what happened and how the day went, but I know that I am a marathoner and that Mike will have his moment to shine too.

There are big things in store for us in the future and I am not going to let the sad moments from the marathon bring me down!

  1. Jamie, I feel the same way about you guys. When I saw you guys before the race, I felt this insane connection, like "we are finally here, and we got here together" and it made the morning so symbolic for me. Mark and I are going to continue our running journey, largely in thanks to you two, and I feel so lucky we were able reconnect this way! Can't wait for our next adventure together!

  3. I'm so glad you're remembering the happy moments. In time, you'll appreciate the bad ones, too. And this experience will help you kill your goal in Cleveland!!
    Congrats again!
