My First Vlog

Yep, it is true, I did a vlog.  It probably isn't the best but hopefully I will actually keep up with it (if you like them of course).  If I do it weekly, it will probably be on Fridays since I have more time in the morning before work.  Get used to seeing me in grey, black and dark blue since that is what I wear to work all the time.

So here it is. I hope you enjoy it!

Now I would like to know, what do you know now that you wish you knew when you started your fitness journey?

  7. Great first vlog Jamie!!! I'm super impressed with the signing! I took a few sign language classes in high school and loved it! Sadly I didn't keep it up and have forgotten most of it.

  8. Great vlog, Jamie--such a good idea! My sister took an ASL class over the summer, so it's neat to see a pro in action. ;) Good call with how expensive triathlons can be. Between the equipment, gym/club memberships, and the races, things add up very quickly. Still love the sport, though! :)

  9. I wish that when I first started running and working out that I knew how great it was to run with other people! I basically trained by myself for the first 12 years or so of running. At races, I would meet and see other people- and developed friendships then... and eventually started running with Nisky moms; and now I train and run with Team Utopia. I also run with ARE friends at times. It is so much nicer to run with other people than just by yourself! Nice vlog, Jamie!

  10. Loved your first vlog Jamie! Surprisingly enough you sounded exactly how I thought you might if that makes sense at all. I agree with what you said about the expense of being a triathlete and that's probably the biggest reason why I'll stick to running and possibly doing a duathlon (using Allan's bike).

One thing I wish I'd know before I started my 12 in 2012 (not necessarily my fitness journey) would be to research races for the entire year in several different states and then make a plan from there. I thoroughly enjoyed all the races I've done but I'll be much smarter in 2013!

  12. Saw your link on the SPA forum, great job on the vlog! My jaw dropped to the floor when you told us about ironman registration cost, :O and I thought Disney was ripping me off at $140 for a half marathon...(plus shoes that need replacing every few months, which run $100 a pair!)

    Good Luck with your journey!!!
