Super Bowl Fun

Were you one of the 111.3 million people who watched the Super Bowl last night?

We were! Not that we were rooting for any team in particular (because I don't care and Mike hates both teams), but our friends have hosted a Super Bowl party the last four years and it's basically a given that we will be there!

Shortly after deciding that I wanted one of my goals for this year to be trying a new recipe every week, I knew I had to find a good one for the Super Bowl party.

Enter the easiest recipe to date!

I had seen this Cookie Dough Dip recipe on Pinterest and it looked so good I knew it would be perfect for the party.

It's like cookie dough, but better

Ingredients:

1 8-oz package of cream cheese, softened
1/2 cup butter, softened
1 cup powdered sugar
2 tablespoons light brown sugar
1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla
1 cup chocolate chips
1 cup peanut butter chips

After creaming together the cream cheese and butter, we added the rest of the ingredients and mixed it all together.

Yum!

We decided to serve it (at room temperature) with animal crackers and teddy grahams. It was a hit! Even though there was a slight cream cheese taste, which if you added a little bit more powdered sugar that might have been reduced, it still tasted really good! The best part is you could make this with so many different combinations of chips, candy or sprinkles!

And now I will end this post with one of my favorite Super Bowl commercials!

Do you like dessert dips?

    1. I'm glad you go to watch it, sorry about the Patriots' loss. Mike said he wanted them to win over the Giants since he hates the Giants more.

  4. I love dessert dips. I had a friend that made a pumpkin one that was awesome - served with cinnamon graham sticks. My "go to" dessert dip is made with cool whip, instant vanilla pudding and a shot or two (to taste) of amaretto. Super easy! I serve it with fruit (strawberries especially) and graham sticks.

    1. That was a good one too! The dog who got in shape by running and working out was another semi-running related one!
