Motivation

I need some, that's for sure!

The temperature change and the start of a new academic quarter is starting to leave me feeling blah. There's no other way to describe it! I'm still going strong on Tall Mom's challenge, which was made so much easier after finding out that walking counts! I am not really the type of person who should run everyday based on being injured twice (although related) in seven months.

I have also been doing well on my personal Jillian Michaels 30 Day Shred Challenge, yesterday I completed day four. It is definitely getting easier and I may only do five days on level one, we'll see.

With all of that said, today I have about zero motivation. I already texted Mike saying that I am 50/50 about going to indoor cycling and like the good husband that he is he guilt-tripped me into going. I guess I will keep him.

Even still I need some more motivation and thought that you all might need some too!

How are you staying motivated this time of year?

  1. Love it.....My sister and BF are holding me accountable so I have to stay motivated or they will kick my butt!

  2. Christie - it is nice to have other people to hold you accountable when you can't always do it yourself!

  3. Awesome! It's great to have someone to call and hold you accountable. That little kick in the pants to get going.

  5. Honestly I'm finding little ways to be active like walking around the house while I'm checking things on my phone or doing Pilates in front of the tv.

Mom - I was glad that I went!

Suz - That's a great way to stay active, I try to make sure that I always take the stairs at work, I go up them a lot! Little things do add up.

  7. I'm starting my next training cycle for my half the week after Christmas, so I'm motivated to try and get my running base back up. Now strength training? SO not motivated.

  10. Just think about how good you'll feel after a workout as opposed to the alternative. Before I start, I think of the nice hot shower waiting for me when I'm done. Usually that does the trick. You've come so far in your training that you don't want to lose your base. :) - Kristin
