Note: This can be altered for Hanukkah, Kwanzaa or any other holiday that you celebrate this time of year! Some of the items in this "letter" are ones that I would love to try and others are items that I think any runner would love to have!
In order to get ready for all of the Jingle Bell Runs, Santa Runs and Resolution Runs this year I wanted to ask you for seven things. I hope that you think that I have been good!
As you know, I LOVE peanut butter. Even though I had given GU a try earlier on in my running career and thought I hated it, I would be willing to give it another try for its newest flavor. You guessed it: peanut butter!
I'm not sure if you know this, Santa, but there are so many nutrition choices out there! I also happen to like Clif Shot Energy Gel, specifically the Mocha, and I would be willing to try some of Clif Shot's other flavors. I may even be willing to give GU Peppermint Stick, Mint Chocolate and Espresso Love a try! A runner needs good nutrition to power through all of those long runs and races.
In addition to eating right, I need to be able to hydrate! Nuun is tasty and I would love to try some new flavors like grape, tropical and fruit punch. A hydration belt is a perfect way to carry water and nuun on long runs, especially during the summer!
I am proud of my running times and wouldn't a race PR sign made by MyRusticBoardSigns be the perfect way to display them for all to see? Plus, how cute would this "his" and "hers" PR sign be?
I like the fact that the time boards are painted with chalkboard paint and you can change your times as you get faster!
I may not have run in my "it" race, yet, but I think that the bib coasters made by Mile Stones are a perfect holiday item. They would make a perfect resting spot for my hot chocolate, right Santa?
I love to read, so any magazines or books on running would be perfect this year! Subscriptions to Runner's World, Women's Running Magazine and Fitness Magazine (to name a few) would be great.
I don't want to get injured again, really what runner does? I would love to add some recovery and healing products to my stash. The stick is great, but how about a foam roller? I could also use some more arnica gel.
Finally, if you think I have been good enough I would love to have a Garmin Forerunner 405cx.
If I have one of these I will be able to keep track of my pace, time and distance during my training runs. I would also use it during races to gauge my pace and how I am doing. The Garmin Forerunner 405 would also do quite nicely!
Thanks Santa, I promise to be good for the rest of the year! Please give the reindeer kisses for me and give an extra one to Rudolph, he's my favorite (but don't tell the others)!
